Paraprofessional Level III

Paraprofessional Level III Certificate of Achievement

This certificate of achievement will provide students with the necessary knowledge for working as an entry-level educational paraprofessional inside or outside of the classroom. The certificate of achievement courses will increase students’ knowledge base and increase the likelihood of success when working with school-age children and adolescents. Upon completion of the required courses with at least a “C” or “P” grade in each course, the student will be eligible for a Paraprofessional Level III Certificate of Achievement.

Program Learning Outcomes

• 1. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to differentiate between the requirements needed to be employable as an educational paraprofessional in or outside a classroom.

• 2. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to support the learning of mathematics, science, technology, writing, and literacy at the K-8 grade levels.

• 3. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to differentiate between the roles of paraprofessionals and professionals in and outside of the classroom.

• 4. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to think critically and communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
