About the Program

Program Goal: Career

GE Pattern(s): None

Program Code: 37967.00CA

The Certificate of Achievement in Applied Construction is designed to prepare students to meet entry-level requirements for skilled jobs in the construction industry covering a broad range of skills from foundation to finish.

  1. Practice industry standards for safety used in construction environments.
  2. Interpret technical drawings and schematics for use in construction applications.
  3. Employ the techniques and materials used in common construction projects.
  4. Demonstrate the techniques used in foundation and wall layout.
  5. Manage and maintain the mechanical and electrical systems used in construction projects.
  6. Demonstrate the proper technique employed in the operation of various hand and power tools.
