Small Business Management

The Small Business Management certificate is designed for existing and potential small business managers or entrepreneurs. It provides an organized course of study that enables students to develop entrepreneurial skills, recognize business-related opportunities (i.e. finance, banking), and learn the basics of starting and/or managing a small business.

Students who complete this program should be able to:

1. Create a business plan that covers all facets of operating a business.
2. Organize and manage the different business functions necessary for ongoing operations.
3. Identify the functions of management and apply them in business situations.
