Students earning this certificate prepare for careers as web developers with experience in front end technologies which control the visual aspect of web design and development as well as back end technologies that store, protect and deliver dynamic data to the web user.

As part of the Web Development program, this certificate serves students entering fields that need Web Development skills and knowledge and working professionals who need to learn new skills for their current job or for career advancement. The program prepares students to design and create Web sites, including integrating databases and content management systems, creating multimedia elements, and editing content to follow writing for the Web guidelines. Students acquire a solid foundation in usability, accessibility, and design principles, as well as technical skills at hand coding HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL. Students use industry standard software and practices to prepare for entry-level careers.
