Summary
This Certificate of Performance prepares students for entry level positions as home day care providers.
Award Notes: A Certificate of Performance is a departmental award that does not appear on the student’s transcript. All courses must be completed within the San Diego Community College District. This program is not eligible for federal financial aid in accordance with Federal regulations.
Learning Outcome(s): Students who complete the Home Day Care Program will be able to:
- Work in a collaborative environment to promote respect of others opinions and prospective and demonstrate cultural pluralism.
- Develop the ability to anticipate, recognize, and successfully work with various learning styles and abilities of children with varying needs.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to meet the state of California licensing requirements for working in careers in Early Childhood Education and Development.
