Summary
The Certificate of Performance in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Basics provides students with the basic knowledge and skills needed as an entry level HVAC/R technician.
Award Notes: A Certificate of Performance is a departmental award that does not appear on the student’s transcript. All courses must be completed within the San Diego Community College District. This program is not eligible for federal financial aid in accordance with Federal regulations.
Learning Outcome(s): Students who complete the HVAC/R Basics Program will be able to:
- Demonstrate HVAC/R industry readiness through certification training.
- Gain essential skills necessary to perform as a mechanical system installer.
- Gain essential skills necessary to perform as an HVAC/R Technician.
