This course is designed to provide a basic overview of human anatomy and physiology related to practical nursing and other allied health students. This course provides an understanding of normal body structure and function integrated with nursing concepts.

This course provides an introduction to medical language and terminology used by health care professionals. Basic terminology, including prefixes, suffixes and word roots are covered generally and by body system. Math (dimensional analysis) utilized when administering medication will be covered. Students will be required to research an assigned topic and write a research paper. This course is also offered online.
