Ocean Lifeguard I

This noncredit certificate of completion program will prepare students for employment as a seasonal/fulltime ocean lifeguard in the State of California. Physical fitness requirements, medical training and rescue techniques will be assesed.

Program Learning Outcomes

1. Use advanced first aid to manage and treat injuries.
2. Analyze different ocean currents from the shoreline.
3. Identify appropriate ways in dealing with the public.
