Digital Media Production

The Digital Media Production program provides the skills necessary to effectively use design principles to create vector and raster-based digital drawings, photo editing, illustration and layout design for multiple-page documents. Emphasis is placed on the development of a portfolio for employment and/or advancement. The program will prepare students for further study and/or entry-level positions in print, graphic design, digital media, animation, gaming graphics, motion graphics, web design graphics, and other related occupations.

Program Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate the ability to create projects with the appropriate settings within the software for web, print, and animation while using basic design principles and best practices employed in the design industry.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in determining the type of copyright, permissions, and licensing required to use Adobe industry-standard production applications.
3. Demonstrate the ability to identify the purpose, audience, and audience needs for preparing images.
