Students who earn the certificate in Para Education will develop skills that are valued by employers. This certificate, along with other school district requirements, can help lead students into careers as Paraeducators, Paraprofessionals, or Teacher Aides in TK-12th-grade schools.
Program Learning Outcome(s): Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to:
- Explain their role and responsibilities as a paraeducator.
- Increase their knowledge about typical and atypical developmental patterns in children.
- Provide instructional supports using individualized educational plans for diverse learners.
