Energy Management and Auditing Certificate of Completion

This program serves as an introduction to residential energy auditing and commercial building energy management. Due to more stringent government regulations on energy conservation through Title 24, Cal Green and others, there is a strong on-going demand in the HVAC/R industry for technicians with these skills and knowledge base. Upon completion of the required courses with a grade of “P” for passing, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Program Learning Outcomes

• 1. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to evaluate the principles that relate to California Title 24; energy conservation through residential & commercial building energy auditing.

• 2. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to evaluate and understand energy inefficiencies in HVAC systems and duct work.

• 3. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to identify, analyze, and evaluate common types of energy management systems.

• 4. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to analyze and evaluate various control schemes of energy management systems.
