Electrical Safety

Electrical Safety Certificate of Completion

This certificate provides students foundational instruction in electrical safety including an introduction to the National Fire Protection Association's standard NFPA 70E, Electrical Safety in the Workplace. The certificate is appropriate for supervisors, safety personnel, and employees who work near electricity but do not work with live components. To achieve the Certificate of Completion: Upon completion of the required courses with a grade of ‘P’, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Program Learning Outcomes

• 1. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to identify electrical hazards and their effects on the human body.

• 2. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to describe examples and circumstances of work hazards associated with electrical safety.

• 3. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to distinguish safe installation practices and requirements for electrical components.

• 4. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to describe an electrically safe working condition.
