California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC) Certificate of Achievement
The California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC) Certificate of Achievement is designed for students planning to transfer to a California State University (CSU) or a University of California (UC) campus. Completion of this certificate ensures that the student has met the lower division general education requirements for most UC campuses. Upon completion of the required courses with at least a “C” or “P” grade in each course, the student will be eligible for a California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC) General Education Certificate of Achievement.
Program Learning Outcomes
1.At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
2. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to apply mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning.
3. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to explain the values of a culture as expressed through art, literature, language and philosophical viewpoints.
4. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to evaluate the methods of inquiry and evidence used in the behavioral and social sciences.
5.At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to apply new and accepted ideas about the physical and biological sciences using testable methodology.
