### ZOOL-1 — General Zoology

- **Prerequisite:** Intermediate Algebra as determined by multiple measures or math placement level 4 or higher
- **C-ID:** BIOL 150
- **Transfers to:** CSU, UC

- Direct assessment competency-based curriculum is delivered through the competencies which will be reflected on a competency transcript, and the equivalent credit courses will be added to the student’s traditional credit transcript. All three competencies will be completed before the traditional course will reflect on the traditional transcripts.

This course focuses on the study of the major divisions of the animal kingdom with emphasis on the origin, adaptations, functions, and development.
