1.  Recognize the organizational method used by design engineers in presenting electrical plans and necessary supporting information
2.  Explain the electrical installation and describe the finished product using the floor plan as guideline.
3.  Identify the common types of luminaires and their proper use
4.  Choose the best lighting control strategies for given residential and commercial applications
5.  Identify troubleshooting methods for various system failures
6.  Explain National Electric Code for the proper installation of specialty systems
