      "markdown": "The Associate of Arts in Social Work and Human Services for Transfer provides an interdisciplinary exploration of courses and content that prepares students to transfer to a four-year university as a Social Work or Human Services major. This program allows students to blend theory with fieldwork experience while incorporating critical thinking and self-exploration. Completion of the AA-T In Social Work and Human Services degree also provides guaranteed admission to the California State University (CSU) system with junior status, although not to a particular campus or major. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with a counselor to discuss transfer options.\n\n**Requirements for all Associate Degrees for Transfer:**\n\n1.  Completion of 60 semester CSU transferable units.\n2.  Completion of the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC). The CSU-GE (California State University General Education Breadth) or IGETC (Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum) pattern may be used in some cases; please see a counselor for details.\n3.  Obtainment of a minimum grade point average of at least a 2.0 in all CSU transferable coursework.\n4.  Minimum grade of \"C\" (or \"P\") for each course in the major. If the course was taken on a Pass/No Pass basis the \"P\" must be equal to a \"C\" or better.\n5.  Completion of a minimum of 18 semester units in the major or area of emphasis.\n\n**Learning Outcome(s):**\n\n1.  Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of theoretical perspectives, legal and ethical principles, and social issues related to Social Work and Human Services fields.\n2.  Develop communication skills and cultural competencies as a foundation for success in the fields of Social Work and Human Services."
