      "markdown": "The Modern Police Associate in Science is designed to fulfill a portion of the state requirements for future employment as a full time, sworn peace officer, while preparing students to continue studies toward a B.A. or B.S. degree in a discipline of their choosing. Students who pursue a Modern Police degree enjoy a wealth of career options in the field of law enforcement. They work in multiple areas including patrol, detectives, S.W.A.T., narcotics, reserves, K-9 handler, traffic, and more.\n\n**Learning Outcome(s):**\n\n1.  Identify the procedures involved in the American justice system from arrest to release and rehabilitation.\n2.  Analyze the importance of the inter-cooperation between communities, social work, law enforcement, courts, and corrections in the American justice system.\n3.
