      "markdown": "### Summary\n\nThe Certificate of Performance in Transportation Security is intended for students employed or seeking employment with the Department of Homeland Security as well as anyone interested in the field of transportation security.\n\n**Award Notes:**\nA Certificate of Performance is a departmental award that does not appear on the student’s transcript. All courses must be completed within the San Diego Community College District.\nThis program is not eligible for federal financial aid in accordance with Federal regulations.\n\n**Learning Outcome(s): Students who complete the Transportation Security Program will be able to:**\n\n1.  Analyze and evaluate the role of criminal sanctions in recidivism rates and the rehabilitation process of offenders.\n2.  Use information of crime scene management and investigation, forensics analysis and information technology to conduct rudimentary criminal investigations.\n3.  Relate knowledge from several employment areas such as pre-employment testing, physical requirements, psychological evaluations and social factors.\n4.  Demonstrate knowledge of the California Penal Code, the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training regulations and appropriate department policies and procedures.\n5.  Understand the three components of the criminal justice system and how they interrelate."
