      "markdown": "### Summary\n\nThe Associate of Science degree with an area of emphasis in Occupational/Technical Studies is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree at a transfer institution in an occupational- or technical-related major. Common university majors in this field include: Aviation and Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, Criminal Justice / Justice Studies, Fire Protection Administration, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, and Vocational Education.\n\nThis degree is designed to accommodate the differing requirements of a wide variety of transfer institutions and major options. Because admission and major preparation requirements vary at each transfer institution, courses used to complete this degree should be selected with the assistance of a Miramar College counselor.\n\n**Award Note:**\nThe Associate Degree requires a minimum of 60 degree applicable semester units.\n\n**Learning Outcome(s): Students who complete the Occupational/Technical Studies Program will be able to:**\n\n1.
