      "markdown": "### Summary\n\nThe Associate of Science Degree in Lineman is designed to prepare students for lineman opportunities. Students may also install, maintain, and operate intricate electrical systems, including power lines and underground equipment. Completion of this program will not guarantee employment as a Lineman with San Diego Gas and Electric Company.\n\n**Award Note:**\nThe Associate Degree requires a minimum of 60 degree applicable semester units.\n\n**Learning Outcome(s): Students who complete the Lineman Program will be able to:**\n\n1.  Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes and blueprints.\n2.  Discuss and demonstrate knowledge of safety in the electrical field.\n3.  Evaluate electrical wiring diagrams as they relate to implementation.\n4.  Demonstrate a basic knowledge of generators and motors.\n5.  Prepare and apply to take the State of California electrician certification exam."
