      "markdown": "### Summary\n\nThe Machine Technology program offers a variety of instruction in the process of modern manufacturing. Emphasis is placed on CAD/CAM and C.N.C. technology.\n\nRecommended first semester enrollment: MACT 140, MACT 150, MACT 160M, and MACT 161M\n\n**Learning Outcome(s): Students who complete the Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Option Program will be able to:**\n\n1.  Demonstrate a thorough understanding of common safety policies used in modern machining facilities.\n2.  Solve common machining problems using various mathematical equations.\n3.  Utilize common measuring instruments to ensure projects are within given specifications.\n4.  Set up machine tools to specification in a given time period.\n5.  Machine projects to specifications using both conventional and CNC machines.\n6.  Create CNC programs using both \"hand coding\" and CAD/CAM software.\n7.  Create designs, and Toolpaths for both basic and advanced projects, using CAD/CAM software.\n8.  Complete necessary documentation and inspection forms as required."
