      "markdown": "The Associate in Arts in History for Transfer (AA-T) includes a selection of courses designed to prepare students to transfer to California State University campuses that offer bachelor's degrees in History. The degree prepares students to demonstrate basic understanding of broad historiographical trends as well as helps to develop the tools to critically analyze primary and secondary sources. The degree is ideal for students who plan to transfer for further study to pursue a baccalaureate degree in history.\n\nThe following Associate Degree for Transfer completion requirements must be met:\n\n1.  Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following:\n2.  The California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC)\n3.  A minimum of 18 semester units or 27 quarter units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district.\n4.  Obtainment of a minimum grade point average of 2.0.\n\nADTs also require that students earn a C or better in all courses required for the major or area of emphasis. A \"P\" (Pass) grade is also an acceptable grade for courses in this major.\n\nLearning Outcome(s):\n\n1.  Effectively write and communicate history through the development of complex historical ideas and critical analysis of historical facts/events.\n2.  Identify, analyze, and cite reliable primary and secondary sources that support the construction of historical arguments.\n3.  Evaluate and interpret major patterns and trends in history with a particular focus on causation, continuities, and change."
