"markdown": "The Cloud Computing and Virtualization degree program focus is on teaching students the fundamentals of cloud computing specifically on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Students will be prepared for a detailed overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. Further exploration of the fundamentals of building IT infrastructure on AWS will support development with the AWS SDK and identify best practices for building and deploying applications in the AWS Cloud preparing students to pursue in-demand DevOps, support, and cloud operations roles.\n\nLearning Outcome(s):\n\n1. Examine the health of the AWS cloud infrastructure with services such as Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Config.\n2. Identify the global infrastructure components of AWS.\n3. Make architectural decisions based on AWS architectural principles and best practices.\n4. Construct AWS managed services to enable greater flexibility and resiliency in an infrastructure.\n5. Devise ways to increase performance and reduce cost of a cloud infrastructure built on AWS.\n6. Design cloud architectures to decouple infrastructure and reduce interdependencies.\n7. Identify best practices for deploying applications in AWS.\n8. Analyze resource consumption in an AWS account by using tags, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS Trusted Advisor."
