      "markdown": "Credits: 15.0\n\nSuccessful completion of the Career Preparatory Certificate in Education will prepare the student to enter a career in education as support staff, and will provide an excellent foundation upon which to further the student's  education toward becoming a teacher. Students will learn about child development, brain development, how to support the education and socio-emotional development of children from diverse backgrounds and how to support children who have experienced trauma in their lives. Students will complete Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid training, and California State Mandated Reporter certification, as part of this program. This certificate prepares students to serve in TK-12 schools as educational support staff, and helps prepare those who want to further their education to become teachers.\n\n## Program Outcomes\n\n1.  Examine the process of child development in a diverse society and how it impacts a child's education.\n2.  Demonstrate working knowledge of providing appropriate guidance and educational support for students.\n\n### Program Requirements\n\n#### Required Courses - Total 15 Credits"
