      "markdown": "The Associate in Arts Degree in Music for Transfer (AA-T MUSIC) is designed to prepare students for a seamless transfer with junior status and priority admission to their CSU campus to a program or major in Music or similar major for completion of a baccalaureate degree.\n\nStudents are required to complete:\n\nCompletion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following:\n\n(A) Cal-GETC Breadth Requirements.\n\n(B)  A minimum of 18 semester units or 27 quarter units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district.\n\nObtainment of a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Students must earn a C (or \"P\") or better in all courses required for the major or area of emphasis.\n\nNo more than 60 semester units are required.\n\nThe Associate in Arts Degree in Music for Transfer (AA-T MUSIC) will also assist Music major students to transfer to a U.C. or other baccalaureate institutions. Students are advised to consult with a counselor to verify transfer requirements.\n\n**Career Opportunities**\n\nAcademic and Performing Careers in Music and Music Related Fields such as: Arts Administration, Music Journalism, Recording Industry, Musical Instrument Sales and Repair, Private Instruction etc.\n\n**Program Learning Outcomes**\n\nUpon completion of this program a student will be able to:\n\n1.  Synthesize knowledge of performance skills, theory, and music history into an informed performance of music.\n2.  Demonstrate competency in aural skills.\n3.  Analyze musical examples for their formal and harmonic structure."
