      "markdown": "**Units:** 90 units\n\nThe Associate of Science in Chemistry is designed to provide students with the foundational coursework required towards a Chemistry degree. This program provides students with the courses that they will need for transfer, while allowing them to explore different aspects of chemistry to help them to find an area of focus after transfer. This degree will introduce students to the concepts of organic and inorganic chemistry while providing a sound foundation in physics and mathematics.\n\n### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n-   Master content in inorganic and organic chemistry by describing chemical and physical structures and nomenclature, stoichiometry and solving chemical equations, and analyzing and describing the nature of chemical reactions and energy.\n\n-   Measure and characterize properties of matter using a variety of research-level chemical instrumentation, laboratory techniques, statistical and computational methods.\n\n-   Display effective cooperation with others on projects and clearly communicate experimental results through oral and written means.\n\n-   Demonstrate professional integrity, safety and environmental stewardship.\n\n### Program Requirements"
