"markdown": "The Associate in Science in Physics 2.0 for Transfer (AS-T in Physics 2.0) degree provides students with a solid foundation in calculus-based physics and prepares them for seamless transfer into the California State University (CSU) system, with priority admission as a junior to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Physics. The degree supports transfer preparation for California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) campuses with careful course selection.\n\nPhysics is the study of the fundamental principles that govern the natural world, exploring topics such as motion, forces, energy, thermodynamics, waves, electricity and magnetism, light, and modern physics. Through a combination of rigorous coursework and hands-on laboratory experiences, students develop strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to design and interpret experiments using the scientific method.\n\nGraduates with a bachelor’s degree in Physics are well prepared for diverse career opportunities in government, education, and industry, as well as advanced study in physics, engineering, astronomy, environmental science, computer science, and other STEM fields.\n\n#### Important Transfer Information:\n\nThe AS-T in Physics 2.0 is an aligned transfer pathway between the California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) systems. Students planning to transfer should consult with a counselor or instructor early in their studies to select additional courses that align with their intended transfer institution and ensure readiness for upper-division coursework.\n\n#### Associate Degree for Transfer Requirements:\n\n(1) Completion of 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University and University of California, including the following:\n\n(A) The California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC).\n\n(B) A minimum of 18 semester units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district.\n\n(2) Obtainment of a minimum grade point average of 2.0.\n\nTitle 5 section 55063(a) also require that students must earn a C or better in all courses required for the major or area of emphasis, or a \"P\" if the course was taken on a 'pass-no-pass' basis.\n\n**Learning Outcome(s):**\n\n1. Demonstrate appropriate integration of math and physics concepts to solve real-world problems.\n2. Demonstrate appropriate design and execution of experiments, as well as analysis and interpretation of the data.\n3. Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly using written, oral, and graphical means."
