      "markdown": "The Associate Degree for Transfer in Elementary Teacher Education prepares students for a seamless transfer into the CSU system to complete a baccalaureate degree in Liberal Studies Elementary Emphasis, Elementary Education, or a similar degree. The Elementary Teacher Education Transfer Degree is designed to prepare students to work in a variety of elementary classroom settings. The program increases the students understanding of education for young children, brain development, school standards, the understanding of multiple subjects (math/science/language/literacy and the social sciences) and public education practices.\n\nAssociate Degree for Transfer Requirements:\n\n(1) Completion of 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following:\n\n(A) The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or the California State University General Education - Breadth Requirements.\n\n(B) A minimum of 18 semester units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district.\n\n(2) Obtainment of a minimum grade point average of 2.0.\n\nTitle 5 section 55063(a) also require that students must earn a C or better in all courses required for the major or area of emphasis, or a \"P\" if the course was taken on a 'pass-no-pass' basis.>\n\n**Learning Outcome(s):**\n\n1.  Analyze diverse learning styles and demonstrate effective foundational skills needed to teach elementary school students. Apply both technical and artistic strategies when working in groups."
