"description": "This course continues to teach language acquisition in a cultural context through listening, speaking, reading, writing in Spanish at the second semester level. It reviews and expands upon the vocabulary and grammatical structures introduced in Elementary Spanish I, and it develops the student’s ability to engage in casual conversation, express opinions, and make suggestions in Spanish. Emphasis is on the preterit and imperfect tenses of the indicative mood. The course also provides for increased awareness of the Spanish-speaking world’s history, geography, and customs, including socio-political practices. Students will continue to interact with authentic language in cultural context.",
