Early Childhood Education (ECE) is the study of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for young children. Students completing the **Early Childhood Education Site Supervisor Certificate** will be prepared for positions such as mentor teachers, site supervisors and directors of private preschool programs.

#### Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:

1.  Apply California Community Care Licensing regulations to the operation of a privately funded early care and education program.
2.  Supervise and evaluate staff to effectively operate an early care and education program.
3.  Create and follow a budget, manage enrollments, order supplies, and maintain a functioning child development program.
