Lighting and Controls Technology Certificate of Achievement provides training and preparation for an industry-recognized credential to electricians, contractors, acceptance test technicians, building operators, and managers. The training helps the electrical industry increase the use of energy-saving lighting controls in commercial buildings and ensures they are properly installed and commissioned for maximum effectiveness.

#### Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:

1.  Apply critical thinking skills to execute daily duties in industry workplaces related to lighting and lighting controls.
2.  Fulfill the requirements for an entry-level position in renewable and sustainable energy industries related to lighting and lighting controls.
3.  Display the skills and aptitude necessary to pass California acceptance exams in the lighting and lighting control fields.
4.  Exhibit effective written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact within the workplaces related to the lighting and lighting control fields.
