### Description

This certificate trains students for career paths in the field of motion picture and television post production editing. Post production focuses on the editing and completion of student projects using Final Cut Pro and various Adobe and Avid editing software. Courses help students develop communication, computer, problem-solving, and technical skills needed for employment in the motion picture and entertainment industries. Advocates and fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies of historically underrepresented and marginalized groups. Utilizes data and theory-based research to achieve higher levels of equity in the media and entertainment industry.

### Program Learning Outcomes

Upon the successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

1.  Demonstrate a working knowledge of Final cut Pro software.
2.  Demonstrate a working knowledge of Adobe editing software features.
3.  Demonstrate a working knowledge Avid editing software.
4.  Demonstrate artistic, enterprising and investigative expression within film editing processes.
