Courses are also available for individuals interested in increasing their awareness and skills in the technical aspects of real estate transactions.\n\nThe real estate industry offers many interesting areas of employment and specialization. Positions may be found in real estate sales, appraisal, property management, finance, land development and consulting. A license is required of all real estate salespeople.  Real estate sales persons are responsible for the sale of land and property, who conduct real estate activities under the supervision of a license real estate broker.\n\nMinimum requirements to apply for the Salesperson Examination are: Age: 18 or older; Education: Evidence of successful completion of nine units of college level courses in Real Estate Principles, Practices, and one elective is required. Honesty: A felony conviction may result in the denial of a license.\n\n**Program Learning Outcome(s):**\nUpon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to:\n\n1.  Prepare sales listings and sales contracts.\n2.  Explain the process of transferring ownership of real estate including escrow procedure and legal documentation required.\n3.  Identify and describe fundamental real estate concepts and principles.\n4.  Explain the appraisal process and its impact on closing real estate transactions."
