The courses in the Associate in Arts in Economics for Transfer Degree program are also articulated to allow students to transfer to local University of California campuses. The electives in the degree give students the opportunity to focus their studies in accounting, math, or general economics.\n\nThis Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in the field of economics or a similar major at a CSU campus. Students completing this degree are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus. Students should consult with a counselor for more information on specific university major admission and transfer requirements. Students who complete an ADT and transfer to a similar major at a CSU are guaranteed a pathway to finish their baccalaureate degrees in 60 semester or 90 quarter units.\n\nTo obtain this Associate Degree for Transfer, students must complete:\n• 60 units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University\n• A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0\n• A grade of “C” or \"P\" or better in all courses required for the major\n• A minimum of 18 semester units in the major\n• The California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC)\n\n**\n\n##### Career Opportunities\n\n**\n\nThe AA-T degree in economics provides a sequential course of study that prepares students for transfer to four-year institutions with an economics major or for entry into career fields that emphasize the value of familiarity with economics concepts. The AA-T degree allows students to emphasize their studies on economics principles and math or accounting.\n\n**\n\n##### Learning Outcome(s)\n\n**\n\n1. Examine real world choices presented to individuals, households, firms, and governments by applying, and explaining, economic terms, concepts, and models used in macroeconomics and microeconomics.\n2. Evaluate economic models to explore the relationship of incentives, exogenous events, and policy proposals on decision-making by individuals, households, and businesses.\n3. Evaluate economic models to explore the consequences of macroeconomic events and macroeconomic policy proposals on macroeconomic indicators."
