      "markdown": "#### Welding Associate of Science\n\nThe Associate in Science in Welding is designed to prepare students for optimal success in technical careers in an environment that will encourage a lifelong pursuit of learning. Upon completion of the associate’s degree program, graduates will be eligible for entry-level employment in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing environments. Upon completion of graduation requirements and the required degree courses with at least a \"C\" or \"P\" grade in each course, the student will be eligible for an Associate of Science Degree in welding.\n\n### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n-   1\\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and safety principles required for employment in the welding industry.\n\n-   2\\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in blueprint reading, layout, and welding skills required in the welding industry.\n\n-   3\\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to complete American Welding Society's (AWS) certification outlined in AWS D1.1.\n\n### Program Requirements"
