"markdown": "#### Physics 2.0 Associate in Science for Transfer\n\nThe Physics 2.0 Associate in Science degree is designed to prepare students for transferring to a California State University (CSU), a University of California (UC) school, or other four-year institute as a major in physics. Earning this degree should equip the student with a fundamental knowledge of physics typical of a calculus-based introductory physics sequence and the mathematics that supports competency in problem-solving. This degree represents a step in the path preparing students for careers in physics, physics education, or other related disciplines such as engineering. Students who complete this degree in physics with the intent to transfer will be guaranteed admission to the UC system with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Upon completion of the following requirements, the student will be eligible for an Associate Degree for Transfer: (1) Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following: a. California General Education Transfer Curriculum (CalGETC). b. A minimum of 18 semester units or 27 quarter units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district. (2) Obtainment of a minimum grade point average of 2.0. (3) The completion of all courses required for the major with a “C” or better. A “P” (Pass) grade is acceptable for courses in the major.\n\n### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n- 1\\. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to articulate fundamental laws that explain physical phenomena.\n\n- 2\\. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to synthesize the methodologies of science and calculus when approaching a physics problem.\n\n- 3\\. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to apply logical quantitative and qualitative reasoning in conducting laboratory activities, analyzing physics problems, or constructing explanatory arguments of mechanism.\n\n### Program Requirements"
