#### Modern Energy Certificate of Completion

Modern Energy COC is a consolidation of non-credit courses that are intended to introduce students to emerging topics in energy. The topics include carbon neutrality, capture, and storage; data analysis; and renewable energy. The intent of the Modern Energy COC is to offer interested students a focused approach to investigating these popular contemporary topic areas and to better understand how they apply in their own region. To Achieve the Certificate of Completion: Upon completion of the following courses with a grade of ‘P’, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

### Program Learning Outcomes

-   1\. Upon successful completion, students will be able to communicate the effects of carbon in the atmosphere.

-   2\. Upon successful completion, students will be able to demonstrate skills for analyzing energy demand using publicly available data sources.

-   3\. Upon successful completion, students will be able to evaluate the potential effects of sustainable energy in Kern County
