      "markdown": "#### Media Arts Certificate of Achievement\n\nThe Bakersfield College Media Arts Certificate of Achievement is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in media arts. The Media Arts Certificate is a 6 class program where students will learn production processes and techniques including script writing, storyboarding, cinematography, video editing, and animation. In these project based classes students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge using professional grade cameras equipment and software. Media arts skills are increasingly needed by visual communicators, and this program will provide entry-level competencies for a number of career paths, such as: videographer, photographer, motion graphics designer, animator, video editor, film editor, cinematographer, colorist, film producer, and filmmaker. Upon completion of the required courses with at least a “C” or “P” grade in each course, the student will be eligible for a Certificate of Achievement.\n\n### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n-   1\\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to produce a portfolio of original film and/or animation content.\n\n-   2\\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to implement the principles, elements, and language common to Video Production and Animation.\n\n-   3\\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to critique their own work, as well as the work of other students; and defend their creative choices verbally and in writing.\n\n### Program Requirements"
