Topics covered during the completion of this certificate include the principles of diesel engine operation and repair, electrical system operation and repair, hydraulic system operation and repair as well as preventative maintenance and operator comfort systems. To Achieve the Certificate of Completion: Upon completion of the required courses with a grade of “P” for passing, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.\n\n### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n- 1\\. Upon the successful completion of this program, the student will be able diagnose failures in a modern computer controlled diesel engine using an electronic service tool.\n\n- 2\\. Upon the successful completion of this course, the student will be able to identify system circuits and components as they relate to machine functions and failures.\n\n- 3\\. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be able to apply basic hydraulic theory and principles to practical applications commonly found on mobile equipment.\n\n- 4\\. Upon the successful completion of the program, the student will be able to demonstrate the ability to diagnose air conditioning system faults and failures.\n\n- 5\\. Upon the successful completion of this program, the student will be able to interpret preventative maintenance schedules found in manufacturers equipment manuals and communicate the importance of preventative maintenance on the lifespan of machinery.\n\n### Program Requirements"
