#### Emerging Media Literacy Certificate of Competency

Emerging Media Literacy prepares learners to navigate the changing digital media landscape and effectively employ evaluative skills. This 27-hour certificate guides learners through three courses focusing on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, online safety, and mass media literacy. To achieve the Certificate of Competency: Upon completion of the following courses with a grade of "P", the student will be awarded a Certificate of Competency.

### Program Learning Outcomes

-   1\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to effectively evaluate and use Artificial Intelligence tools in professional and academic settings informed by ethical and historical perspectives.

-   2\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to create an online identity and safely participate in online environments.

-   3\. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to effectively navigate misinformation online and develop strategies to evaluate mass media sources.
