#### Child Development Master Teacher: Special Education Certificate of Achievement

The program is designed to meet the needs of the community in that the required coursework meets the state required mandate for a Special Education Master Teacher permit found in the California Permit matrix. For Early childhood professionals in the field, this certificate will serve as an option to fulfill required professional growth hours as well. Upon completion of the required courses with at least a "C" or "P" (pass) grade in each course, the student will be eligible for a Certificate of Achievement.

### Program Learning Outcomes

-   1\. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to compose developmentally appropriate curriculum for children with special needs.

-   2\. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to compile strategies to help families having children with special needs.

-   3\. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to devise individualized learning plans to meet the specific challenges of children with special needs.

-   4\. At the conclusion of this program, the student should be able to plan diverse curriculum to meet the needs of families having special needs children in all aspects of cultural diversity.
