"markdown": "Students who complete the associate degree have enhanced employability in the field of Welding Technology. They are well prepared for employment in a wide variety of welding applications including but not limited to, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW “Stick”), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW “Mig”), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW “Tig”). Students will also be able to read and interpret welding symbols and blue prints relating to welding application. Students will also have the experience and skills needed for welding inspection and management positions. The associate degree will also provide students with a broad range of knowledge with which to evaluate and appreciate the physical environment, the culture, and the society in which they live and with the ability to think and communicate clearly and effectively.\n\n### Program Requirements"
