# Aeronautical Non-Destructive Inspection (Certificate) Antelope Valley College · 2026-2027 Catalog · Department: Aeronautical Non-Destructive Inspection Source: https://avc.elumenapp.com/catalog/2026-27/program/aeronautical-non-destructive-inspection-cert-fall-2026 This program is designed to introduce students to the principles of nondestructive inspection (NDI) and nondestructive testing (NDT). Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a testing and analysis technique used by the aerospace industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component, and structure for characteristic differences without causing damage to the aircraft structures. Inspection methods covered in this course are Eddy Current and Ultrasonic inspection. Classroom lecture and hands-on practice with NDI testing equipment, processes, and procedures. Students who successfully complete the certificate requirements may apply for entry-level positions in aerospace nondestructive inspection, nondestructive testing, quality inspection, and aircraft or aerospace manufacturing inspection support. ### Program Requirements | Course | Title | Units | | --- | --- | --- | | **Aeronautical Non-Destructive Inspection Cert: Complete all of the following** | | 11 | | ANDI 110 | Non Destructive Inspection: Visual Inspection, Liquid Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle | 4 | | ANDI 115 | Non Destructive Inspection: Eddy Current | 3.5 | | ANDI 120 | Non Destructive Inspection: Ultrasound Inspection | 3.5 | ### Recommended Pathway #### Aeronautical Non-Destructive Inspection Cert **Term 1** (7.5 units) - ANDI110 - Non Destructive Inspection: Visual Inspection, Liquid Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle (4) - ANDI115 - Non Destructive Inspection: Eddy Current (3.5) **Term 2** (3.5 units) - ANDI120 - Non Destructive Inspection: Ultrasound Inspection (3.5) ### Program Outcomes ### Aeronautical Non-Destructive Inspection (ANDI)
