The Animation Foundation Certificate of Achievement will provide students with a foundation in animation and visual storytelling. Upon completion of this certificate students will demonstrate a solid foundation in the traditional and digital skills and knowledge necessary for creative industries: design foundations, character ideation, 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, and production. Students will gain a fundamental understanding of industry-standard software. The Animation Foundation Certificate of Achievement provides students with opportunities to develop work to include in professional portfolios, university-required portfolios, and develop skills for entry-level employment in the creative industries.

**The graduate of the Certificate of Achievement (16+ units) in Animation Foundation will:**

1.  Generate multiple character designs and stories in response to a specific concept.
2.  Design and animate characters and environments for narrative and interactive projects.
3.  Plan and storyboard animated sequences for traditional or digital formats.
